Turn Your Vacation into an Adventure Vacation

Knoxville, Tennessee – As the popularity of adventure trips and active travel vacations continues to rise, America Outdoors is proud to announce the launch of its new website, Adventurevacation.com, revealing a new design, improved search features and vacation provider listings. Adventurevacation.com is the consumer information site for America Outdoors, a national trade association of adventure outfitters and tour operators.

The new website features 500 active travel outfitters offering adventure trips worldwide, with an expansive list of outdoor recreation activities, with options for travelers of all ability levels. No matter what your experience and fitness level, Adventurevacation.com has several suggestions for enjoying the outdoors and experiencing an active vacation at your own pace.

Whether it’s a relaxed bicycle tour through wine country, a multi-sport adventure trip or a challenging expedition in remote territory, adventure seekers can find a vacation experience tailored to their needs. Travelers can find advice on how to choose an outfitter, or how to plan for a group trip or find companies that cater to special needs.

For first-time adventure travelers, the outdoor adventure guide offers basic information on the most popular outdoor activities. The activity guide lists those that may require basic instruction or professional guides to insure a safe and fun trip, including whitewater river rafting, horseback riding, camping trips, canoeing and kayaking, cycling tours, hiking, climbing, and more!

”Sumptuous meals and creature comforts, even showers are offered on most trips,” says David Brown, Executive Director of America Outdoors and Adventurevacation.com. “Adventure travel does not necessarily mean ‘roughing it’ in the wilderness. In fact, many tour operators and adventure outfitters offer a wide range of lodging options, from camping to comfortable cabins, cozy inns and luxurious lodges.”

Parents will especially find the family vacation planner on Adventurevacation.com helpful, with tips on how to select a destination, and choose an adventure outfitter that offers a wide range of activities that the entire family will enjoy participating in.

Enhanced Member Features for Adventure Travel Companies:

There is a special membership section for adventure travel outfitters and tour operators, where they can learn more about adding their company to Adventure Vacation and managing their online listing to attract new participants from the thousands of visitors viewing the site each month. By joining America Outdoors’ professional organization, outfitters automatically receive a listing on Adventurevacation.com and gain access to tools and information vital to running a successful company. In addition, all Adventure Vacation and America Outdoors members are invited to attend the annual conference for marketing and management education in Salt Lake City, Utah in December 2006.
